Imagine the great fire in winter, its sparks capable of intertwining the sacred and the profane, that heat that its pagan, wild and at the same time current, deeply alive nature has in store. And now think of the blaze that illuminates older nights, nights of pilgrimages and litanies illuminated by ex votos, of epic and never lost souls, in the land that the peasants thanked with flames, when lighting a fire meant building a pyre and each of those logs of wood was the verse of hundreds of propitiatory prayers.
Sacred fires, nocturnal prayers, that was what it was all about under the indifferent constellations, season after season. Fanòi preserves those sparks and embers, preserves those rites, in the color of its name with violet reflections, wild, impetuous sparks, like the scents expressed by the Primitivo grapes. The chiaroscuro of its mnemonic root becomes the enveloping sensuality of its structure, capable of expressing the sense of sacred and pagan rituals and above all of skilfully mixing in its aroma that god of small things and those ancestors of big businesses. This wine can tell the spirit that marked and watched over the vintages and human time.
